Preservation Department

Preserving the Present for the Future!

The Preservation Department is dedicated to the active stewardship of all of the University Libraries' digital assets, and is actively engaged in their preservation and curation to ensure that all informational content contained within the individual files, data sets and objects in maintained monitored to ensure their longevity and trustworthiness.  To this end, the department regularly communicates with sister departments in the life-cycle management planing process.  All activities are in accord with accepted archival practices and library collection management strategies.
