Project Sponsership

Projects are broken down into work specific phases dependent upon pre-determined project scope and restriction, with special attention paid to partners’ technical abilities and needs.  In recognition of project partners’ abilities, the department follows one of three fundamental collaborative or partnership forms.

Sponsorship forms:

1.  Full Sponsorship: This collaborative form/effort is defined by project needs identified by our project partners, but which requires the department manages all project efforts on behalf of the partnering agency or department.

2.  Partial Sponsorship: This collaborative form/effort is defined by project needs identified by our project partners, but which requires that the department only manages a specific portion or phase of the overall project; the partnering agency or department assumes full ownership and management of the project.

3.  Joint Sponsorship: This collaborative form/effort is defined by project needs conceived and identified by both the department and project partners, and which requires that the department and project partner each manages a specific portion or phase of the overall project with both partners assuming full ownership and management of the project.
