Online Search allows you to search certain databases directly from within EndNote and add citations from the results.
In EndNote 21, you can select from the databases listed on the left-hand menu under Online Search
Use the search boxes to search. Highlight any resulting citation that you want to add to your library. Use the + sign to add.
It's highly recommended to use Online Search only for known references. For example, when you know the author, the article, or PMID. It is not recommended to start your topic search using EndNote Online Search feature. An individual database will give you much better search functionality.
You will need to update the connection file for Stony Brook within EndNote to be able to search our online catalog.
Visit this link to download the updated connection file:
https://endnote.com/connections_download/stony-brook-university/
Once it's on your desktop, double click the file to open it in EndNote. Then click on File, Save, and remove the word "copy" from the file name.
