What is Document Delivery?
Document Delivery services provides articles and book chapters from the Stony Brook University Libraries' collection to eligible SBU users. Requests are submitted through SEARCH! or ILLiad.
Who is eligible?
Currently registered students, faculty and staff.
This service is not available to alumni, special borrowers, friends, relatives, spouses of Stony Brook University faculty, staff or students.
How are requests submitted?
All requests are submitted electronically through ILLiad using your NetID and password.
Select the Document Delivery request option on the main request page. Please provide as much information as possible.

This service is not available to alumni, special borrowers, friends, relatives, spouses of Stony Brook University faculty, staff or students. Document Delivery requests will not be processed for patrons with excessive fines, blocks on their Library account or with an expired ID.
How are requests submitted?
Patrons are encouraged to place requests for physical materials through SEARCH. All loanable items in our collection are requestable through SEARCH by finding the record you are interested in and selecting the "Request for Pickup" option. Document Delivery requests for hard copy materials can still be placed through ILLiad if you encounter any issues.
