Who is eligible?
The Stony Brook University Libraries loans materials to libraries and other professional organizations. An individual interested in borrowing material from our collection should contact the academic or agency library with which they are affiliated or their local public library.
How are requests submitted?
We accept requests via ILLiad, OCLC, and DocLine. Institutions may also submit requests to ill@stonybrook.edu or using an ALA Interlibrary Loan Request Form.
What can be requested and how is it delivered?
- Books
The loan period is 16 weeks from day of shipping. Renewals will be considered upon request.
- Audio-visual material
Videos and DVDs have a 4 week loan period with no renewals.
- Articles and chapters
Articles and book chapters are scanned and delivered via Odyssey, Article Exchange, NYLink or email.
Items are shipped via FedEx, US Postal Service, or land courier.
