The mission of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is to improve oral, dental and craniofacial health through research, research training, and the dissemination of health information.

NIDCR is the Nation’s leading funder of oral, dental, and craniofacial research. Approximately 75% of NIDCR’s budget goes to the support of grantees at universities, dental schools, and medical schools across the country and around the world.
