This guide provides an overview of library operations during the COVID-19 pandemic with important information about how the library can support students and faculty while maintaining the health and safety of all.  

Check online for the most recent updates to hours for physical locations and chat services over the intersession.


  • Information on the laptop loan program.
  • Directions for requesting books while the main stacks are closed to browsing.
  • Interlibrary Loan: Operations are mostly back online. Some libraries, however, are restricting their loaning of physical items to other libraries.
  • Contact our Reserves Department if you are a faculty member looking to have physical items scanned for upload to Blackboard. 
  • Study Rooms: some North Reading Room study rooms are open, limited to one person at a time. 
  • Research Loan Program: This service is temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
