Welcome to this research guide on Advanced Searching for Systematic Reviews, created for PSY 507. In this guide you'll find 5 tutorials. After watching each tutorial, there is an activity to complete and a questionnaire to assess if further assistance is needed.
We will be attending a session of the course in person and are available via email and zoom consult as well. Our contact info is on this page.
*This was the original opening text for the LibGuide used with PSY 507 in fall 2021.
The questionnaires, simple Google forms, provided feedback on what students still needed help with. These issues were addressed in the synchronous session.
The response from the instructor, who teaches this course regularly, was positive. They appreciated the mix of modalities used to cover the content:
"This is by far the best version of this seminar that the library has produced for me. It was perfectly pitched and very helpful."
Instructor email, fall 2020
In the fall of 2021, the instructor began re-using the recorded tutorials with a new class but did not contact librarians for a synchronous session. The LibGuide was still active but certain parts of the lessons had to be updated quickly:
"I have been directing students to the fantastic tutorials that you put together for my Meta-Analysis class last year. I know that Zoom took everything down so the links are no longer active. Do you happen to have downloaded recordings of them?"
Instructor email, fall 2021
