CLMP serves independent publishers of exceptional fiction, poetry and prose. Literary magazines and presses accomplish the backstage work of American literature: discovering new writers; supporting mid-career writers; publishing the creative voices of communities underrepresented in the mainstream commercial culture; and preserving literature for future readers. services and resources are designed to develop each member's publishing capacity through increased marketing and organizational skills.

The mission of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is to empower artists at critical stages in their creative lives. NYFA serves individual artists by offering direct financial assistance, professional development and information and resources to artists and organizations that serve artists; supports arts programs in the community; and builds collaborative relationships with others who advocate for the arts in New York State and throughout the country.

The New York State Council on the Arts is dedicated to preserving and expanding the rich and diverse cultural resources that are and will become the heritage of New York's citizens. NYSCA strives to achieve its mission through its core grant-making activity and by convening field leaders, providing information and advisory support, and working with partners on special initiatives to achieve mutual goals.

The mission of AWP is to foster literary talent and achievement, to advance the art of writing as essential to a good education, and to serve the makers, teachers, students, and readers of contemporary writing. AWP has supported the development of hundreds of educational programs, conferences, reading series, and literary magazines as well as thousands of jobs for writers and new audiences for contemporary literature.
