A digital archive project established by Stony Brook University Libraries and launched in September 2020 to collect, preserve, and publish the institutional history of Stony Brook University during this unprecedented moment in history.

More than 11,000 stories about how the pandemic has affected our lives, from the mundane to the extraordinary, including the ways things haven't changed at all. Share your story in text, images, video, tweets, texts, Facebook posts, Instagram or Snapchat memes, and screenshots of the news and emails--anything that speaks to paradoxes of the moment. Imagine, as we are, what future historian might need to write about and understand this historical moment.

The experiences of all New Yorkers, from Long Island to Plattsburgh and from Albany to Buffalo, make up the foundation of our state's history. To record and preserve the unprecedented, historical events unfolding around us currently, Manuscripts and Special Collections (MSC) encourages all New Yorkers to document their experiences during the pandemic using video, photos, and journaling and submit those items to the New York State Library for future generations to study and learn from.
